Adams, Ansel:

This category lists pages and sites about the life and work of American photographer Ansel Adams (1902-1984). Adams received his first camera -- a Kodak Brownie model -- when he was 14 years old. And the rest, as they say, is history. Many now consider Adams the greatest photographer in American history.

Brady, Matthew:

This category lists pages and sites about the life and work of American photographer Matthew Brady (1823-1896), best known for capturing the American Civil War on film. Today, Brady is considered by many to be the father of the modern photojournalism.

Hine, Lewis Wickes:

This category lists pages and sites about Lewis Wickes Hine (1874 -1940) and his works. Hines was not only a photographer, but also a sociologist. He used his camera to captures everything from images of immigrants at Ellis Island to children working long hours in dangerous factories. He used his documentary photography to support his views on issues such as child labor and poverty.
