We’ve been home for over a week now, yet we’re still adjusting in many ways. We seem to be back on the right time zone, which thanks to the ocean crossing really went pretty easily. We arrived only about 2 – 3 hours off. We still seem to want to eat different amounts of food [...]

Anyone reading this from the 60s-70s generation might need read no further; you probably get the general idea! Two days home and we’re beginning to adjust. We are currently sitting in the Gare du Nord train station waiting for our train to London in a hour or so. There’s a nice lounge for first class travelers (which we’re doing for comfort and the meal!) with connection. So here’s just a few pictures from our few days in Paris. From London, this [...]

We had a great first day in Paris. It was part of the river cruise tour so we spent the afternoon and evening with people from that cruise. We went on the organized tour of Versailles. We had not been there before as about 10 years ago when we came to Paris, there had been [...]

We arrived last night from Figueres Spain to Nice France! It took about 7 hours total. We went Figueres to Montpellier, changed trains and then Montpellier to Nice. We had quite a moment when we went to track D and waited patiently only to have Rich observe that no-one else was on the platform. He [...]

We leave tomorrow morning for Nice France. It’s been a wonderful wonderful time here in Spain. We’ve learned a great deal, met wonderful people, and experienced not only another culture; but had time to reflect on the “culture” we live in. We had a great day and a half in Cadaques! I’ll post more another [...]
