Today is my birthday: my daughter called to sing me Happy Birthday and grand-baby tried to join along doing a wonderful “Da-ba” shout in the background! Of course the bestest present is this trip – not intended to be a gift, of course, but it’ll do!
Here I am on my 8th birthday! 
The others in the picture are my father’s mother – Grandma Donlon – and his sister, my Aunt Alicia. My brother, Art is there as well. He would have been 4 in this picture. My grandmother and I shared the same birthday. She was a tough woman. I don’t know much about her really, other than she was as sweet as she was tough, and you never knew which she’d be! I don’t recall the year she died, I don’t think it was much after this as I know that in her last months, I would go to the Mother Ann home and play dolls with her as she thought she was a young girl.
